These cold temperatures have me thinking about summer. The warm sun, sand in my toes, popsicle in hand… Any stamp set that reminds me of these things is definitely going into my collection! Stampin’ Up!’s Day at the Beach stamp set is adorable, with images of all things summer and no sentiments. I love this because the possibilities are endless. The card here shows how I used one of the images to make my own designer series paper and then used that same image as the focal point. Creating your own background is simple, I stamped the image in the same color as the cardstock, I used Mint Macaron onto Mint Macaron paper. I stamped the image again in Black Memento ink onto Sugarplum cardstock. I fussy cut (fussy cut = this means to cut something out by hand, without a die… I know, how archaic) the popsicle and then put a Stampin’ Up! dimensional behind it to really make it pop. The sentiment is from one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets that is FREE called Tasty Trucks. FREE you ask? Yes, free with a $50 minimum purchase.
