Happy New Year! Can you believe 2016 is over? Are you filled with thoughts of resolutions for the new year and reflections of last year? I am thrilled to be back online for this coming year, sharing all my crafties with you and hopefully inspiring and teaching you along the way. I will be posting at least 1x to 2x a week. If there is a topic you want me to cover or if you have a question, feel free to reach out to me on this post. What techniques do you want to see this year? What stamp sets or tools would you like me to feature?
In the spirit of resolutions, let’s make one together. Ummm… No, I do not want to lose 20 pounds with you but I do want to help you get your craft room/space organized. Starting this Monday, January 2, 2017 I’m going to start a 5 week series on how to get your crafting space organized! I’ll be covering topics such as purging; paper organization; stamp organization, etc. See you on January 4, 2017 and every Monday after that for the next 5 weeks. Let’s get our craft on in 2017!
On this card, I again used the Balloon Adventures Stamp set. The balloon stamp and the sentiment are both from this set. Didn’t I tell you it was going to be a staple? The way I did the Ombre effect on the Balloons was that I inked the image stamped it three times working my way down the page before re-inking it again. The darkest color is at the top, then it gets lighter as you work your way down. These balloons were all stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink, but it looks like three different ink colors. This is the inside of the card. It’s always nice to decorate the inside for the recipient, although this sentiment could stand alone on the front of the card for a quick and easy card. Would you believe this sentiment is from Balloon Adventures stamp set too! Okay, so now you know, when I tell you that “You’ve got to have it” now you know I’m serious.
Well, it’s time to sign off. Have a happy and safe new year! I look forward to spending the upcoming year with you sharing all that Stampin’ Up! has to offer. Be sure to check my Classes/Events schedule as well as the new Occasions 2017 catalog.
